I live in London and know several Polish shops that will sell you below counter cigarettes. I reckon the market is huge, and why wouldn't it be!? If you tax a product into Mars, sure enough the buyers will go elsewhere.
I always wonder why the hell are they following the Australian model? It failed so miserably. BAT wants to move out the Australian market all together, saying that it can not operate and compete with the black market.
It can not be that they are all so stupid, or are they?
Ah well, one day it will be banned and then tobacco will be in the hands of criminal gangs, who are at least competent.
